Hi, I’m Aliona Ignatieva
I'm an independent advisor working with public-private partnerships, networks, and complex multi-organizational projects. My job is to help them find the right structure for their specific situation — so everyone knows who's responsible for what, and partners can focus on the actual work instead of endless meetings.
I believe most partnership problems aren't people problems. They're structure problems. And while every partnership is unique, the challenges tend to follow familiar patterns: unclear roles, slow decision-making, accountability gaps. I studied exactly these patterns during my PhD research, and I've spent the years since helping partnerships recognize and solve them.
I work mostly with partnerships in public governance, healthcare, and education. When a project calls for additional expertise — a legal specialist, a sector-specific advisor, or a larger team — I bring the right people in. That's the idea behind Research to Practice: not a large firm, but a flexible network of specialists who can be assembled around what your project actually needs. Whatever shape the work takes, I'm your first point of contact, and I stay involved to make sure things run smoothly.
I'm always happy to hear what's going on in your partnership, even if you're not sure yet what kind of help you need.
